Thomas has spent the last 35 years in the construction, maintenance, and project management business. He's worked primarily for school districts overseeing and maintaining the buildings, grounds, and housekeeping departments, while supervising the project management for building renovations and additions. In his position as Director of Maintenance, he has inspected for building safety, state and federal compliance, ADA compliance, roof, HVAC, mold, and all facets of building operation, maintenance, and construction. In addition, he was the integrated pest management designated coordinator, indoor air quality designated coordinator, and asbestos designated coordinator. He was also the Underground Storage Tank/Fueling Site-Licensed/Certified Operator for the school district. He carries an EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
After his retirement in October of 2014, he completed coursework and certification requirements for the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) Licensed Professional Home Inspector. He has additional certification in Pools, Spas, and Irrigation Systems.
Thomas is a jack-of-all-trades and is in high demand to help friends and family with maintenance and remodeling jobs of all kinds. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and hiking, especially in Colorado, playing keyboard for his church's music ministry, and spending time with his special needs Boys Night Out bunch.
